CHA Psychiatrist Wins Harvard Medical School Mentorship Award in Psychiatry

Todd Griswold, MD, recognized for commitment to medical education

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a community health system serving Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's metro-north communities, is proud to announce that psychiatrist Todd Griswold, MD, is a recipient of the 2026 Stuart T. Hauser, MD, PhD, Mentorship Award in Psychiatry for outstanding mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows and junior faculty.

In addition to his role as an outpatient psychiatrist, Dr. Griswold is the medical director for the CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion. He is an assistant professor of psychiatry and the director of medical student education in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Griswold, who has taught psychiatry to medical students for over 30 years, also supervises in the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at CHA.

The award is named in honor of Stuart T. Hauser, MD, PhD, professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and president of the Judge Baker Children's Center. Dr. Hauser was nationally and internationally known for his work in adolescent development and his focus on resilience to adversity. His career in mentoring "across generations" was most clearly and memorably expressed in his work and leadership in what is now formally renamed, in his memory, the Stuart T. Hauser, MD, PhD Harvard Clinical Research Training Program (CRTP) in Biological and Social Psychiatry.
